A delegation of Majlis Ansarullah Ahmadiyya Nigeria, led by the Vice National President, Alhaji Mufutau Raheem, paid a courtesy visit to the Olowu of Owu Kingdom as part of engagements surrounding the organisation’s Golden Jubilee Ijtema. The delegation was received on behalf of the Olowu by a team led by Obamaja Lateef Oseni. The visit provided an opportunity for the delegation to share the vision and activities of Majlis Ansarullah Nigeria while strengthening ties with the traditional institution and the wider Owu community. The engagement reflected the organisation’s commitment to fostering cordial relationships with traditional leaders and stakeholders while promoting its values of peace, service and community development.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Kemta Division, Abeokuta, CSP Quadri Raheem, has pledged his attendance at the symposium of the 50th Annual Majlis Ansarullah Ahmadiyya Nigeria Ijtema, while commending the organisation’s commitment to service to humanity. CSP Raheem made the pledge on Friday, August 21, 2026, when he received the Sadr (National President) Majlis Ansarullah Nigeria, Alhaji Dauda Abiola Raji, and his delegation during a courtesy visit to the Kemta Police Division, Abeokuta. During the visit, Alhaji Raji briefed the DPO on the 50th Annual Ijtema and its theme, “Faith-Based Solutions to Global Challenges,” as well as the various activities lined up for the Golden Jubilee gathering. The Sadr highlighted the structure of Majlis Ansarullah and its auxiliary bodies, alongside the spiritual, educational and humanitarian activities featured in the Ijtema programme. He particularly highlighted the two-day free medical outreach held at General Hospital, Iberekodo, which attended to more than 2,000 beneficiaries, describing it as part of the Jama’at’s commitment to serving humanity. Alhaji Raji also spoke on the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at’s wider humanitarian initiatives, including its contributions to education and healthcare, and extended an invitation to the DPO to attend the Ijtema symposium. CSP Raheem warmly welcomed the delegation and appreciated the organisation’s activities, pledging to attend the symposium and support the peaceful conduct of the programme.

The Amir (National Head) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Alhaji Alatoye Folorunsho Azeez, has described religion as an avenue for peace, urging people to return to the fundamental teachings of faith by serving God, doing good to humanity and staying away from evil. Alhaji Azeez made the remarks on Friday, August 21, 2026, when he led a delegation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, including the Sadr (National President) Majlis Ansarullah Nigeria, Alhaji Dauda Abiola Raji, on a courtesy visit to the management of Ogun State Television (OGTV), Abeokuta. The Amir appreciated OGTV for its longstanding support and coverage of the Jama’at, particularly for providing a platform through which the community has been able to share its views with the public on critical issues. Speaking on the 50th Annual Majlis Ansarullah Ijtema, themed “Faith-Based Solutions to Global Challenges,” Alhaji Azeez said the theme reflects the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at’s conviction that religion, when properly understood and practised, provides solutions to many of the challenges confronting humanity. He noted that religion is often misunderstood, stressing that the actions of individuals should not be used to judge the true teachings of faith. According to him, religion is fundamentally about worshipping God, doing good and refraining from evil. The Amir further explained that all prophets were sent by God to guide humanity, describing religion as one in its fundamental purpose of guiding people towards God and righteous living. He described the Holy Qur’an as a complete code of life intended to guide humanity in its affairs. He also emphasised the unity of humanity, noting that people have been created in different tribes and communities for identification and mutual understanding, while righteousness remains the true measure of a person’s worth. Alhaji Azeez further cited the peace efforts of the worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, including his engagements with world leaders, as evidence of the community’s continued advocacy for peace. He noted that while religion promotes peace, it is the actions of human beings that often create conflict and disrupt harmony. Reflecting on the philosophy of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, he said the community’s motto, “Love for All, Hatred for None,” reflects its commitment to mercy, compassion and peaceful coexistence. Also speaking, the Sadr, Alhaji Dauda Raji, highlighted the community’s humanitarian activities, noting that a free medical outreach organised as part of the pre-Ijtema activities at the General Hospital, Iberekodo, had recorded more than 1,000 beneficiaries. He described the outreach and other welfare initiatives of the Jama’at as practical expressions of the true teachings of Islam and the organisation’s commitment to serving humanity. Responding, the Assistant General Manager, who represented the General Manager of OGTV, Mr. Biodun Alabi, affirmed the station’s longstanding commitment to providing fair coverage to organisations and communities since its establishment in 1981. He pledged continued support for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at and encouraged the organisation to bring more of its programmes and activities to the station for wider public engagement.

The Sadr (National President) Majlis Ansarullah Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Alhaji Dauda Abiola Raji, has reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to supporting the rehabilitation and reformation of inmates, following a visit to the Ibara Correctional Centre, Abeokuta, on Thursday, August 20, 2026. The visit formed part of activities preceding the 50th Annual Majlis Ansarullah Ijtema and was followed by a courtesy meeting with the Controller of Corrections, Nigerian Correctional Service, Ogun State Command, Mr. Kamaldeen Abioye. Addressing the inmates, Alhaji Raji encouraged them to remain hopeful and committed to their personal reformation, stressing the importance of moral and spiritual development in preparing them for responsible reintegration into society. He also highlighted the welfare objectives of the Golden Jubilee Ijtema and the importance of engaging relevant stakeholders as part of the organisation’s commitment to service to humanity. Receiving the delegation after the visit to the inmates, Mr. Abioye warmly welcomed the Sadr and his team and appreciated the collaboration between the Correctional Service and religious scholars in supporting the reformation of inmates. He explained that the responsibility of the Correctional Service goes beyond keeping inmates in custody, noting that its mandate includes correcting, reforming and reintegrating them into society while instilling moral discipline. The Controller highlighted the various programmes available to support this process, including academic, vocational and religious education, as well as psychological sessions and sporting activities. He explained that inmates have opportunities to pursue academic education from primary to tertiary levels. At the tertiary level, he noted that inmates can further their studies through collaboration with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), with the Service having recorded graduates among those who enrolled. He added that inmates preparing for the National Examinations Council (NECO) examinations to complete their secondary education have also received support through the contributions of individuals and other well-wishers. Mr. Abioye further noted that vocational programmes enable inmates to acquire practical skills, while religious education helps to uplift their minds through sound moral and spiritual lessons. In response to the educational needs of the inmates, particularly those preparing for the NECO examinations, Alhaji Raji pledged financial support to assist them in their academic pursuits. The visit underscored Majlis Ansarullah Nigeria’s commitment to extending its welfare and humanitarian activities to people in need, while supporting efforts that promote moral reformation, education and successful reintegration into society.

The Commander, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Abeokuta, Commander Elias Omoniyi Adedayo, has assured the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of a safe environment for its activities in Ogun State, while commending the organisation for choosing the state to host its 50th Annual Majlis Ansarullah Ijtema. Commander Adedayo gave the assurance on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, when he received the Sadr (National President) Majlis Ansarullah Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Alhaji Dauda Abiola Raji, and his entourage during a courtesy visit to the TRACE office in Abeokuta. He attributed the state’s security and smooth coordination of major activities to the collaboration among security and traffic management agencies, including the Police, Nigerian Army, Federal Road Safety Corps, Civil Defence and TRACE. The TRACE Commander also emphasised the importance of proper planning and coordination ahead of gatherings of such magnitude, noting that effective collaboration with relevant agencies helps ensure the smooth movement and safety of participants and other road users. He described the Golden Jubilee Ijtema as a laudable initiative and expressed appreciation to the Jama’at for selecting Ogun State as the host location. In his remarks, Alhaji Raji appreciated the TRACE Commander and the agency for receiving the delegation and highlighted the purpose and activities of the 50th Annual Ijtema, themed “Faith-Based Solutions to Global Challenges.” The Sadr also spoke on the Jama’at’s commitment to promoting peace, service to humanity and positive contributions to society, as reflected in the various activities lined up for the Golden Jubilee gathering.

Constantly engaging in Istighfar and sending Darood (Salawat) upon the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) are powerful habits frequently urged by our beloved Huzoor. As we prepare our hearts and minds for this monumental gathering, let us saturate our days with remembrance, prayers, and spiritual reflection.

“Caring for the Sick, Orphans Is Our Collective Duty,” CAN Chairman Tells Ahmadiyya The Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun State Chapter, Rt. Rev. (Dr.) Emmanuel Oludaisi Adekunle, has described caring for the sick, orphans and vulnerable members of society as a collective responsibility, while urging the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at to sustain its welfare initiatives. Rt. Rev. Adekunle made the remarks on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, when he received the Sadr (National President) Majlis Ansarullah Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Alhaji Dauda Abiola Raji, and his entourage during a courtesy visit. The CAN Chairman said he was pleased with what he heard about the Jama’at’s various welfare activities, noting that such initiatives present a positive image of what Islam stands for. He particularly commended the organisation’s efforts in caring for the sick and supporting orphans, describing such acts of service as a collective responsibility. He urged the community to continue its efforts while encouraging others to embrace similar commitments to serving humanity. He further called on people to make spending in the way of God a regular practice by helping those in need, rather than waiting until they are approached for assistance. The CAN Chairman said he was challenged by the welfare initiatives highlighted during the visit and expressed his desire to do more in the area of service to humanity. He appreciated the delegation for the visit and prayed for the success of the 50th Annual Majlis Ansarullah Ijtema. He also confirmed his attendance at the Ijtema symposium scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Alake Arcade, Abeokuta. Earlier in his remarks, Alhaji Raji briefed the CAN Chairman on the activities of the Golden Jubilee Ijtema, including the ongoing free medical outreach, the various auxiliary bodies of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at and the theme of the gathering, “Faith-Based Solutions to Global Challenges.” The Sadr also highlighted the humanitarian work of Humanity First Nigeria, including its support for cataract surgeries and care for orphans, while explaining that the Jama’at’s welfare activities are part of its commitment to serving humanity. He further spoke on the moral teachings of Islam, stressing that true Islam is reflected in good character and that acts such as kidnapping, stealing and other social vices are contrary to Islamic teachings.
