The Imam on behalf of the Inmates appreciated Majlis Ansarullah Ahmadiyya Nigeria (MAAN), Humanity First Nigeria (HFN) and Abeokuta Dil’a MAAN for the Welfare Visit and donation of gift items earlier mentioned above.
The Imam of the Correctional Centre revealed that they will appreciate it more if we can as well donate Neat used Clothes, Detergents, Bathing Soap, Islamic Literatures and any other donation in kind, that can make life meaningful for them to feel sense of belonging.
In his own response, the Chaplain (Officer in-charge) appreciated the kind gesture and efforts of Majlis Ansarullah Ahmadiyya Abeokuta Dil’a so far since they have being coming to Ibara Correctional Centre. The Officer added that the constant visit has positively impacted on the life of the Inmates and that Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at is always welcomed anytime any day.
He however said that the little contributions from Religious Bodies like ours always complements the government efforts as well.
He closed his remarks with prayers for the Jama’at at large.
Meanwhile, earlier during our stay, over hundred flayers of the Jama’at were handed over to the Imam of the Centre for distribution and reading among themselves.
The Team was only restricted to a few photographs of the items that were donated and handed over to the Representative of the Welfare Officer (Chaplain) only, as it is against the Ethics of the Centre to take photographs of the Inmates.
In addition, our Dil’a wishes to take regular Tabligh and Welfare to the Centre as a Project , although this will depend largely on our ability to finance the Programme due to huge amount it requires.
Then, the Welfare visitation continued immediately at Neuro Psychiatric Hospital Lantoro Annex.
