The Ondo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alh. Amidu Takuro, has called on Muslims to remain a united force for peace, while commending the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at for its initiatives in upholding peace and goodness across the nation.
The Honourable Commissioner made this remark while receiving the Sadr Majlis Ansarullah Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Alh. Dauda Raji, and his entourage during a courtesy visit. He emphasized the need for greater Muslim participation in politics, noting that active involvement fosters development and introduces fresh ideas into governance.
Alh. Takuro expressed appreciation for the delegation’s visit and pledged his support and presence at the upcoming symposium of the 49th Annual Majlis Ansarullah Ijtema, scheduled to hold at Oyemekun Hall, Akure, on 23rd August 2025.
In his remarks, Alh. Dauda Raji highlighted the Jama’at’s enduring contributions to social welfare, which include building hospitals and schools across the world, as well as running relief programs in remote areas to support humanity and foster national growth. The visit concluded with the presentation of Jama’at literature to the Honourable Commissioner.
