The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, CFR, Okukenu IV, has acknowledged the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s longstanding contributions to education and healthcare, noting that the Jama’at is known for such efforts around the world.
The monarch made the remarks on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, when he received the Sadr (National President) Majlis Ansarullah Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Alhaji Dauda Abiola Raji, and his entourage during a courtesy visit.
Oba Gbadebo expressed appreciation for the Jama’at’s efforts, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare, and wished the organisation success in its Golden Jubilee Ijtema.
He also noted that Ahmadiyya gatherings are known for educating and enlightening participants, observing that the programme for the 50th Annual Ijtema featured a series of educational activities.
The monarch expressed hope that participants would be better equipped and enriched by the time they returned from the gathering, while acknowledging the community’s continued commitment to its various initiatives.
“We appreciate what you’re doing,” the Alake said, wishing the organisation continued success in its efforts.
In his remarks, Alhaji Raji appreciated the monarch for receiving the delegation and briefed him on the 50th Annual Ijtema of Majlis Ansarullah Nigeria, being held in Abeokuta under the theme, “Faith-Based Solutions to Global Challenges.”
The Sadr also highlighted some of the activities lined up for the Golden Jubilee gathering, including the free medical outreach taking place at General Hospital, Iberekodo, on August 19 and 20, 2026.
He further explained that the various activities surrounding the Ijtema reflect the Jama’at’s commitment to promoting faith, service to humanity and positive contributions to society.
