The Commander, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Abeokuta, Commander Elias Omoniyi Adedayo, has assured the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of a safe environment for its activities in Ogun State, while commending the organisation for choosing the state to host its 50th Annual Majlis Ansarullah Ijtema.
Commander Adedayo gave the assurance on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, when he received the Sadr (National President) Majlis Ansarullah Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Alhaji Dauda Abiola Raji, and his entourage during a courtesy visit to the TRACE office in Abeokuta.
He attributed the state’s security and smooth coordination of major activities to the collaboration among security and traffic management agencies, including the Police, Nigerian Army, Federal Road Safety Corps, Civil Defence and TRACE.
The TRACE Commander also emphasised the importance of proper planning and coordination ahead of gatherings of such magnitude, noting that effective collaboration with relevant agencies helps ensure the smooth movement and safety of participants and other road users.
He described the Golden Jubilee Ijtema as a laudable initiative and expressed appreciation to the Jama’at for selecting Ogun State as the host location.
In his remarks, Alhaji Raji appreciated the TRACE Commander and the agency for receiving the delegation and highlighted the purpose and activities of the 50th Annual Ijtema, themed “Faith-Based Solutions to Global Challenges.”
The Sadr also spoke on the Jama’at’s commitment to promoting peace, service to humanity and positive contributions to society, as reflected in the various activities lined up for the Golden Jubilee gathering.
